mail club updates ✶ changes to billing, production timelines, and shipping dates
hi everyone, i hope your summers are going well (or your winters for my southern hemi’s). i’m ramping things up over here in lofighosts world for august’s letter. i had so much fun designing this one! i hope those of you who signed up for july’s letter have all received theirs by now but if you still haven’t, please allow an additional few days as sometimes letter mail can be slow depending on where you’re at in the world.
the first month of the mail club was a success and i had over 50 members sign up! i am so grateful for all the support and that over 50 real human beings want to support my tiny stationery business and my art. i really hope these letters bring you a sense of joy and that the ghosties bring you some emotional support perhaps. although things went relatively smoothly, i did have a few hiccups along the way.
so i had opened up the pre-orders back in may for the first letter which was for july. by opening the sign-ups as early pre-orders, it gave me a good idea of how many pieces i needed to produce since i make everything by hand. but the biggest caveat with this method was that it complicated the billing cycles for anyone who signed up in early may. i’ve decided to change things up a bit which i will outline below.
✶ changes to billing: (for those who signed up in may)
for those who signed up in early may (the week of may 13th) i have pushed your billing cycles up a month so that you won’t get charged so far in advance for the next letter. this also helps me track each membership in a more streamlined way. some of you may not see another billing cycle until august 1st.
✶ changes to billing: (for those who signed up in june)
you will not be charged again until september 1st!
✶ changes to production and shipping timelines: (for everyone who has signed up so far)
i had initially shipped out letters almost a month in advance and thought this way, you could enjoy july goodies before it was july (in my head it made sense at the time?) but based on feedback from some members, it seems that everyone would rather enjoy using their stationery goodies when they get them, regardless of the dates. gathering that feedback was very helpful. so with that in mind, i have decided to change the shipping and production dates up so you’re not signing up a month ahead for every letter.
what does that mean? it just means that i will now be shipping august’s letters in the first week of august instead of in mid-july. that is also why some of you who signed up in may, will not get charged again until august 1st. i think this also makes sense in terms of sharing my progress online. because it honestly felt a little weird to share august designs at the beginning of july lol. i want everyone to feel like they can enjoy the month we’re living in. and talking about the next month’s art so far in advance felt a little ‘rushy'.
this is the first time i’ve done anything like this so apologize again for any hiccups and confusion it may be causing. i had a patreon last year, but i never had a snail mail tier or anything like that so i had no idea what any of this entailed. for me, opening up a mail club meant that i got to create stationery in small batches, experiment with designs, and offer bits and pieces of my designs to everyone around the world.
gathering feedback has been very important for the process so thank you to all the members who reached out and have been supportive every step of the way. i couldn’t have asked for better members <3
my goal is to grow my mail club, slowly, steadily, and genuinely. i want the mail club to be a place where i can share my art and designs but also a place where members can interact and feel like they are part of something special. something real. something tangible. and something unique.
thank you for being here and for supporting this project. it means the world to me.

take care friends <3
